FERNWEH: THE CRAVE TO TRAVEL THE WORLD
Hello! Namaste! Bonjour! Óla!
“The world is a book and those who do not
travel read only one page.” – Saint Augustine.
- Travelling has become a very important part of our life, everyone around the world loves to travel. People normally visit places with beautiful natural view but is that enough?! I don’t think so. I would prefer places that are different, unique and uncommon, because every other city has their own beaches and mountains to visit. Let me help you to make your travel list a better one with these amazingly unique and uncommon places around the world. So here is a list of places that are unique and are not like similar beaches in different cities.
- SOCOTRA, YEMEN
Fascinating right!
- SALAR DE UYUNI, BOLIVIA
[source: google image]
This is what heaven looks like I guess!!!
This is salar de uyuni. It is the world’s largest salt desert. yes salt!! I know you must have thought it as snow. It has more than 10 billion tonnes of salt, during the rainy season these salt flats transform into a shallow lake which perfectly reflects sky. Such a sharp reflection also means double the natural beauty and not one but two sunsets. In the rain the desert becomes a mirror reflecting the sky that it’s hard to tell where land ends and sky begins.

Reynisfjara is a black sand beach on the south coast of Iceland. it has black beautiful sand, powerful waves. Reynisfjara a truly unique place to visit and a a popular filming location for example: game of thrones, star wars and more. I personally, want to visit this beach because the black beauty of the sand is so addictive and it has strong white waves that adds more beauty to the beach.

BLACKBEAUTY AND STRONG WAVES
SEA OF STARS
This is so
unbeleivable ! I never even imagined that a desert could ever meet a sea. This
is a point where a desert meets with a sea. It is know as Namib . It is a
coastal desert in southern Africa. The meaning of Namib is “vast place” I
really want to visit this beautiful place. I think it’s the perfect place for a
vacation. And to your surprise Nambi is
the oldest desert. Diamonds
are the most important mineral asset found in the Namib desert.
- GULF OF ALASKA
This is the gulf of Alaska. A place where two ocean meets but they don’t mix together. The gulf of Alaska is considered a class 1, productive ecosystem with more than 300 grams of carbon per square meter per year. Quiet interesting ! these places are so weird unique but also worth visiting once. Also, the gulf of Alaska has been considered as a generator of storms as lots of snows and ice are dumped in the southern region of Alaska. It has been noted certain storms reach from the British Columbia to as far as southern California.
- GATES TO HELL,TURKMENISTAN

In the hot, expansive Karakum desert in Turkmrnistan, near the
350-person village of Darvaza is a hole 230 feet wide that has been on fire
over 40 years. Though technically called the Darvaza gas creater, local know
the crater as “the gates of hell.” Its fiery glow can be seen from miles
around. Darvaza gas crater is 69 meters wide and 30 meters deep with a total area
covering 5350 meter square.
Best Time to visit June to March is best for general wildlife viewing and outdoor activities
- GLASS BEACH,FORT BRAGG-CALIFORNIA
[source: google image]
Glass
beach gets its name from the smooth colourful glass pieces that you can find in
the pebbly beach. The site was once a trash dump so broken bottles from garbage
cans of local residents are now little treasure to be found and photographed.
It is illegal to remove any glass from the glass beach. This is a great place
to take kids who can explore around but watch them near the water which can be
dangerous.
- THE WAVE, ARIZONA
[source: google image]
The wave is a sandstone rock formation located near the northern border Arizona shares with Utah. It is a dreamlike world of swirling colors and psychedelic patterns. The rock formation are said to be from Jurassic era. In an effort to preserve the natural beauty and integrity of this nature site, here are no signage for hikers. You have to find your way in and out of this site .sounds like a challenge. Who’s up for it?
